The night of the Heroines of Washington Gala this year, 2019, was truly magical. It felt like the time I sent my son off to the Marines or the time my daughter graduated college. Heroines of Washington has held a dear place in my heart for the past 10 years and more so since it's re-brand in 2014. Heroines of Washington would not be what it is today without the support and generosity of many companies and incredible individuals. Many of these supporters, finalists, and winners have forever changed my life.
I wanted to give a special thank you to Mac Curtis, CEO, and Lorraine Corcoran, CMO, from Perspecta, for their continued support of this event and now being the CHAMPION, willing to take it to the next level. Through several corporate transitions, Perspcta has a honored legacy of Heroines; Zalenda Cyrille, Shantel Nickerson, Nicole Drake, Asma Chaudhary, Jennifer Felix, and Lorraine Corcoran. Thank you Mac Curtis for your courage, compassion, and commitment in highlighting for the efforts of these amazing women.
